2025 SFL Summer Camp

SFL Summer Camp is back in 2025 from August 9-15 at Shekinah Retreat Centre.

Our camp is built on a foundation of trade union values. We stand for equality, fairness, and justice; for dignity & respect of all working people. We believe in solidarity: that people can achieve more acting together than they can do on their own.

We welcome campers who are between the ages of 13-16, and who are children of union members. If your child is interested in attending, fill out the attached form and return to the office before April 11, 2025.

Lunch and Learns

Lunch and Learns with WorkSafe for Hazardous Energy Identification Training

WorkSafe Saskatchewan will be hosting sessions on using the “Energy Wheel” which is an effective tool for identifying and controlling hazards both at work and at home.

At the very core, safety consists of three main objectives, recognize the hazard, evaluate the hazard, and control the hazard. Yet, research shows workers currently identify only 45% of hazards present in the workplace. Without properly identifying the hazard we cannot eliminate them, reduce their risk, or apply other controls.

Join this session to take a closer look at how we currently view hazards and how the energy wheel helps your brain recognize 30 per cent more hazards in the workplace.
