There is still time to get your nomination in for one of the following positions:
- President
- 2nd Vice President
- Recording Secretary
- Grievance Chair
These are all three year terms. As the bylaws have been pre-approved by the NPO and our membership, the Grievance Chair is now considered a Table Officer position. This position is open for nominations along with the other 3 listed.
- Membership Officer
- Trustee (3)
The Membership Officer is a one year term and the Trustee position is a 3 year term. You will notice that all 3 Trustee positions are up for election this year. This is due to changes in our bylaws and a retirement. The Membership Officer is now part of the Executive so therefore can no longer be a Trustee.
Anyone wishing to run for one of these positions will need to submit a nomination form, which is available at our CUPE 1975 office (Rm 21, McLean Hall) or attached below . Please submit the completed form to our office on or before 4:00 pm on Monday, October 26, 2026. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DEADLINE TO APPLY FOR THE TRUSTEES AND THE GRIEVANCE CHAIR POSITIONS IS EXTENDED TO OCTOBER 28TH AT 4 PM TO GIVE SUFFICIENT TIME TO THOSE WHO ARE INTERESTED. All other positions the deadline remains as October 26th at 4 pm.
Our office hours are 9-4 pm daily or you can submit via email at office@cupe1975.com. Please note the office will be closed on Friday, October 23rd.
This is an excellent opportunity to get involved with the union. All training is provided and any time away from work is covered by the union.
